Deutsch Kurzhaars, Gundog training

After several years without a test in the Southeast Region, our Spring Derby could not have gone better, save for a little burnt (but still tasty) barbecue. The day started out sunny and cool with little wind and only got better. The dogs ran well and everyone had a good time.

I would like to personally thank a number of people and hope I don't leave anyone out. First to the Judges, Bob Gerstner, Rob Engelking and Rich Dobey, thank you for coming an awful long way to support our club and our system when others wouldn't. Also thank you for your patience with a first time test coordinator. I did my best. To the handlers, thank you for spending your time, money and effort, training and testing your dogs and supporting our system. To my family who help put on a great meal, thank you. To my son Connor, nice gunning. Lastly, to my wife Jennifer, thank you for putting up with me, my antics, and my "passion" ;).
