When Ottmar and I were hashing out the details of our arrangement for this litter, he wanted to keep two Schwarzschimmel females. One to stay with me, and one to go back to Germany. As I watched this litter progress, my eye kept going back to Quina, who, for me, stood out in a group of top quality puppies. They say you don't pick your puppy, your puppy picks you. This was definitely the case with Quina. It wasn't an easy decision, as I would think "Well that puppy has more bone, or that puppy may have a better head." But it's her balance that I really appreciate, and in a litter of very people oriented puppies, she more than any other puppy would seek me out of a crowd. She has the wonderful fluid movement of her mother, Great swimming desire, exceptional pointing instinct and style. I don't think she is going to be the biggest, but her conformation can't be beat; nice topline, great underline, long upper arm, and real nice angles front and back.

As she's matured she's developed a beatiful search and is a terror in the water.  She is also, without a doubt, the most naturally coorperative dog I've ever owned and is a pleasure to be around.
